History

East Clark County Water District formed in 1967 by Clark County Fiscal Court.
Phase 1 • Lines were installed 1979-1980. One 100,000 gallon standpipe and 1 pump station.
Phase 2 • Lines were installed 1987-1989. One 100,000 gallon standpipe and 1 pump station added, telemetry.
Phase 3 • Lines were installed 1990-1991. Lines only.
Phase 4 • Lines were installed 1992-1993. One 381,000 gallon standpipe added.
Phase 5 • Lines were installed 1995-1996. Lines only.
Phase 6 • Lines were installed 1999-2000. Lines only.
Phase 7 • Lines were installed 2003. Lines only.
2005 • Replaced telemetry at all stations.
2006 - 2007 • Pump station on Two Mile Rd and 200,000 gallon elevated tank added.
2006 - 2013 • All meters changed to radio read meters.
2009 • Upgrade Schollsville Rd. line from 3”and 4” pipe to 6” pipe.
2011 • Upgrade Ecton pump station from 125 gpm to 250 gpm.
2011 - 2012 • 500,000 gallon elevated tank on KY 15 replaced 100,000 gallon standpipe and 381,000 gallon standpipe.
2014 • District currently serves 2400 customers and maintains 200 miles of pipeline, three pump stations and three water tanks.
